St. Stephen’s Day

discarded wrapping paper

leftovers

lethargy

all is the same

on hold

different but the same

timelessness invades

even the sun hovers

trapped between ancient stones

undecided

a backwards glance

everything slides away

This has an old feeling to it that makes it worth a moment’s time. I will look forward to seeing other poetry you have written.
